Harmony United
Church's monthly supervised pre-teen dances begin again soon at 7:00 p.m..
The dances are
open to youth ages 10 to 14 and are held at Harmony Hall, 15 Harmony
Rd., North, Oshawa.
The dances for the
upcoming year will be held on the following Saturdays from 7:00 to
10:00 p.m.

For the safety and enjoyment of
all young people attending the dance the following are our "Dance
Guidelines and Rules": |

1. No Glow Sticks
-
2. No food or drink may be
brought to the hall
-
Coats, purses, backpacks, cell
phones and hats must be checked at the supervised coat check. We will
assume no responsibility for lost or misplaced items
-
No drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or
violence will be tolerated. No smoking is allowed on the property.
-
Illegal or undesirable behaviour
will result in a permanent ban from Harmony dances.
-
Patrons demonstrating
inappropriate behaviour will be issued a warning from the staff.
Repeat behaviour will result in the patron being asked to leave the
dance, or the possibility of a permanent ban. If damage to the
facilities occurs, Police will be notified.
-
There are no in/out privileges.
Patrons who leave cannot return to the dance. Those wishing to leave
the dance must use the Hall phone to call parents or guardians who
must come to pick the patron(s) up.
-
No gang or street paraphernalia
are allowed inside the hall.

The washroom facilities are for
the use of patrons and not meant to be gathering areas for extended
conversations. Beverage cans and bottles are not permitted within the
washrooms but must be left with adult monitors. Paper towels and
toilet paper are to be left in the washrooms for their intended use.
Items are not to be stuffed in sinks, urinals or toilets in order to
block them. Washrooms will be monitored at all times.

Parents or guardians are welcome
to enter the hall during the dance but must be accompanied at all
times by a dance staff member.

Mosh, Slam, Grinding,or Break
Dancing are not allowed.

Gum soles and black soled shoes
are not allowed.
-
Patrons are encouraged to advise
a staff member whenever they encounter a problem. |
