Rev Jen Broomhead

Rev. Jen is a life-long member of the United Church of Canada. She grew up in Chapleau, a small town in Northeastern Ontario. Before she answered her call to ordained ministry, she worked as a technical writer at a software company in Ottawa, an English language teacher in China, and as Support Services Officer in the Registrar’s Office of Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario.

Upon completion of her studies at Queen’s Theological College in Kingston, Ontario in 2009, she was ordained by the Manitou Conference in North Bay and began her ministry at two rural churches near Belleville, Ontario. In 2013, she accepted a call to Trinity United Church in Bowmanville, Ontario. After eight and a half years at Trinity, she and her family embarked on a new adventure and made their way to Saint John, New Brunswick and Harmony United Church.

According to Rev. Jen:

“I’m an introvert and a ‘people person.’ I’m a quiet person who enjoys community gatherings. I’m a good listener with my own stories to tell. I’m sensitive and empathetic with a goofy sense of humour. I feel deeply and laugh loudly. I love being part of the joyful, unpredictable, grace-filled, imperfect life of the community of faith.

“We are so happy to be here at Harmony United Church, and very excited to be in ministry with you!”
